Laerskool Kempton Park Full Service School
Our Historical Timeline
1903
The first school in Kempton Park was the C.N.O skool. It was opened in 1903 with 30 learners.

Mr. William Kamp was the principal/educator of the school. The school closed down in 1906. In the same timeframe the Zuurfontein Government School was opened.
1931
In 1931 the school name was changed to Kempton Park – skool with 497 learners and 14 educators.

In 1958 the school officially become a primary school and was renamed to Kempton Park se Laerskool. Today it is known as Laerskool Kempton Park.

In 1966 the school moved to the current building.

Mr. A Page was appointed as principal in 1997. He is the 16th principal of the school.

The school changed to a parallel-medium school in 2008 when the first Gr 1 English class enrolled 31 English Learners.

In 2010 we were selected to become a Full Service school, catering for learners with specific learning needs.

- In 2022 the school enrolled the most number of learners thus far with 1152 learners.
- We have a beautiful Aquaponics system that helps to feed the learners and community.
- We have learners from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds.
- We have a self-funded feeding scheme that feeds about 50 learners.
